Josh Trujillo is a writer of comic books and video games. He is perhaps best known as a writer for DC Comics’ Blue Beetle, and the co-creator of Marvel’s queer Captain America, Aaron Fischer. His work spans different genres and audiences, and he has been featured in the Eisner-winning "Love is Love" and the Ignatz-winning "Be Gay, Do Comics." Josh lives in Los Angeles with his dog, Pretzel.
The Authors of "Washington's Gay General" will present excerpts from their graphic novel about the queer loves and legends of Baron von Steuben. Through the framework of the Baron's life, the authors will discuss the importance of contextualizing queer history as a means of connecting with the past and reclaiming our place in history.
